  1. by jumping! honestly, the more you jump, the better you'll get. go to a wall, and just jump. try to do 100 in a row. jump as high as you can, and just keep jumping. if you do this consistently, you will get a better vertical jump. i would just jump around in my kitchen, trying to reach the ceiling. within a few weeks, i could. also, do jump rope. anything you can do to help build the jumping muscles in your legs will help

  2. Jump on a trampoline, or get a medicine ball, stand next to a wall, and jump with the ball, bounce it off the wall and catch it while you land then repeat for as long as you can.

  3. My Varsity coach told me that jump rope works Ive tried it and it help

  4. go in your garage and jump off both feet. touch the top with both hands. repeat for 30 seconds and then start increasing the time. it helped me!

  5. I always suggest jumping while in the water.  Get about chest deep and then crouch down.  Jump as high as you can.  Repeat about 10 times as quickly as you can.  Take about 1 minute off and then jump 10 times again quickly.   Try to get 10 sets of 10.  More if you are not tired.  The water will act as resistance and will also cushion your landing so that your knees and ankles will thank you later.

  6. squats, calf lifts, jump roping  are defintley good ways to increase your vertical jump.

another good idea is high knees. for conditioning, my coach is making us jump over 2 liter bottles. we line them up and do high knees, then long jump, one foot (each foot), and to the side. we do each three times and it really helps.
