  1. I (think) I understand completely as that i'm going through something similar.

I like to run and the feeling it gives me, but it has given me a stress fracture in my left foot and shin splints.

I like you should probably have stopped a few weeks ago before the pain got pretty intense but still keep running for some reason.

Here  are a few suggestions that may help me:

swim! (keeps you in shape and doesn't aggravate most running pains)

ride a bike (easier on body in general than running)

walk, take things slow for awhile

And every night ice anything that hurts for 15 minutes.

Good luck, stop and rest to prevent any injury from intensifying.

  2. huh?

  3. I am dealing with an impinchment of my sciatic notch right now and I am not allowed to run (well I haven't been able to run since January) it was really hard for me to stop because running is my life. than I started talking to some colleges and they would like me to run for them, so I realized that I would rather not run now and be able to run in college when I get back from my deployment than never be able to run again.

I still get really bad urges to run and when that happens I go hang out with my friends or I invite them over and we watch movies and do facials and what not. My friends have helped me a lot with this injury, maybe your friends could help you.

If you know a lot about running than try coaching it, that is how I got started with coaching. I never thought I would ever be running again a couple years ago and I started coaching to teach people more about how great running is and now I am coaching some really great people. I think they have helped me as much as I have helped them. Good luck
