You can't "get rid" of a concussion, it is very serious (it is a brain injury which can lead to death in some cases).

It is usually recognized by an "instant headache" after an injury, plus a blackout period where you can't remember what happened. People will also notice you are detached and appear "loopy", even in mild cases. Pupil responses might be slowed/non existent as well.

It's best to go to a doctor, and be woken up in the night when you are sleeping every hour by someone you know who will check your pupils to see if they are working to make sure you don't lapse into a coma or something.

A concussion is a bruise on the brain. it needs time to heal. it can be very serious. They have found that multiple concussions, like soccer players get, that aren't given enough time to heal, leads to long term memory loss, mental problems and loss of movement control in later life.
