Well it should be rather easy to distinguish between a male and a female... A male obviously has a p***s, and a female does not........ Or a female has a v****a and obviously a male does not......... If you look at yourself, you easily recognize as to which you have.

However there are many that pretend to be the opposite s*x. Try to make sure you've got the right s*x before jumping in the sack.

In the delivery room the doctor should have mentioned to your parents "it's a girl" or it's a boy. I think that's how most people find out.

Gender is a complicated issue and not easily answered shortly. Obviously, if you are asking, it's not as simple as s*x organs.

Sexual attraction doesn't relate to the matter as you have g*y men as easily as you have male to female transsexual lesbians.

Nor do gender roles really matter much as you have many otherwise baseline straight men who like to dress in womens'  clothes for psychological or sexual reasons, just for instance.

Ultimately, it is just a feeling about what you want. What does it feel like to be a man? What does it feel like to be a woman? Which do you feel like? These are complex questions with complex answers that can only come from a great amount of soul searching. Only you can really answer this question.

A good resource would be to discuss this topic with a transsexual. They have experienced life from both sides and might be able to start a conversation relevant to your interests.
