How do u know what amps can match your subs?

what do the watts and rms have to be equal to on the the subs and amp

  1. match the rms of the subs with the rms of the amp


  2. its experience.

    When you set it propertly and use carefully, you can use stronger amp than speaker itself to use maximal potential of the speaker.

  3. Peak watts, no, peak power doesn't mean anything. but watts RMS yes, they should be close to each other. i personally give my subs twice the watts RMS on a daily basis, i just use it wisely and keep the gain down.
