  1. Birds puff themselves up to make themselves seem bigger and more impressive, and the head bobbing is another way of saying back off to potential enemies. Don't worry, it is normal.

  2. give him some alcohol and he won't do that anymore

  3. When he plucks his feathers or huddles in a corner it is a good sign he is sick...what tour describing seems normal

  4. When a bird is sick their feathers are usually fluffed......If i were you I'd take your bird(s) to the vet.

  5. i recommend first learning about birds!

it seems like you know just about nothing about them or their behavior. get a few budgie books and read as much as you can. make sure you also have the right toys, size cage, size perches (different sizes and textures but the average size should have the foot covering 75% of it, but different sizes are good to help their feet. ones with sand help keep nails short. if you have a female make sure you have a cuttlebone or she can get sick. feed a mixture of small seeds and fresh fruits. PLUS MUCH MORE)

    puffing up feathers = normal

not puffing is normal as well

puffing can just mean they are comfortable it doesnt always mean "back away" or that they are trying to seem bigger, the only time they do that is if they are threatened, and they will puff feathers, lean forward with open beak and open wings, they will obviously look angry.

bobbing head can just be for fun too, my pied cockatiel does it while whistling little tunes and my green-winged macaw does it at different times for many different reasons, all for fun though.

putting head on back = resting

plucking = pulling out feathers because of stress and youll see patches on the body that are "naked" or have no feathers where you can see skin.

when they are sick they will not move much, have stuff coming out their nose and/or eyes, they wont take care of their feathers, they wont chirp as much

also DO NOT PUT ALCOHOL OF ANY KIND EVEN NEAR YOUR BIRDS!!! dont listen to that idiot that told you that theyre just trying to play a joke!

any other questions plz email me i can help with anything you need to know about any parrot
