How do u learn how to do the splits???????

  1. Well, there's the easy "let's go down slowly" way or there's the teacher-will-help-you way. It's something you have to do over time. I'm not even all the way down yet, but my sister's close. It's easier to start out with one foot out in front of you and the other back. That's an easier split than going down horizontally. By no means is it easy, though. The teacher-will-help-you way is not fun, and we've tried staying away from this one. Teacher will get behind you while you're trying to go down and push right above your hip and right on your thigh (or is it hamstring?) not sure. Well, either way, that's how to do it. Don't worry if you can't do it the first time, though. It's HARD.


  2. You just try to a split. Hold it and take deep breaths in and out. As time goes on and you do it over and over you will get closer and closer. You should try a split. Then go running to warm up the muscle and then try the split again. Muscle will stretch more  if your muscles are warm. Another thing you could do is stretch in the shower and spray the warm water right where you feel the stretch.
