How do u make a HS girls varsity soccer team? How do u stand out at try-outs and bring attention to yourself?

I will be a sophomore in high school and I'm trying out for my hs soccer team. I really want to make varsity. Last year I made jv2 because I had a bad try-out, but I ended up swinging for about 3 weeks to varsity during state, which our school won. We have a new varsity coach and I really want to stand out so I can be put on the right team! What are some pointers to grab this coaches attention and show her that I belong on varsity?

You gotta push yourself and play smart...

Be simple with your decisions, remember your fundamentals, passing is essential, so is ball control, speed, shot accuracy etc you know the story.

And if you want to break off something extra and wow the coach, give it a shot, but be sure that you can do it

have a positive attitude, play smart, and give it 100%

As you already know, the first days of try outs does not measure your soccer skills but your physical shape and stamina. so after the first few days, the best way to get yourself noticed is by delivering one of the best times when you'll be running. after that, when you guys actually start to play soccer and stuff, just don't think about it, be yourself and play your game. don't hold the ball too long and don't be selfish. that's how the new coach will notice you. first of all dont assume you already know everything there is to know about soccer. Coaches dont like people who think they know everything. Also pay very close attention to what he says. Try your hardest dont stop running for the ball and the more you sweat the more it will look like you are busting your *** out there. Coaches appreciate that too
