  1. Step it up a notch and buy some fresh bakery made kayser rolls (for buns), buy a couple pounds of ground steak (much better than regular hamburger meat) put the meat in a bowl, pour lea & perrins Worcestershire sauce over the meat and kneed until fully coated in the sauce (add more sauce if needed). Allow meat to marinade in the sauce for about 30 minutes, then form your patties, dust them with garlc salt, freshly ground black pepper, and fire up the grill !

I suggest a charcoal grill for best taste (allow 15 minutes for coals to ash over to gray). Apply patties to grill.

Allow patty to sear one side then turn and let cook, turn again to cook other side until done.

Have those kayser rolls handy...when the patties are done set them aside and lightly toast the kayser rolls on the grill...add your favorite burger toppings and prepare for ....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !

    Enjoy !

  2. here are my hamburgers....

    1 lb very lean meat

    1 egg

add about 2 T minced garlic

    1 tsp seasoned salt

    dash pepper

mix it together, form into burgers (i usually make 4/pound of meat)

cook on a grill that has been heating for a while (20-30 min if its charcoal, about 5-10 if its gas)

cook 6 minutes on each side

flip one more time, put on a slice of cheese, close the grill cover for a minute, then remove

I usually serve hamburgers with corn on the cob, pasta salad, or fries... depends on what I have around the kitchen

  3. lipton onion soup mix is pretty good when you mix it in the hamburger meat.

    potato salad

    french fries

    tator tots

    clow slaw

  4. season with

    Salt

    Pepper

    Garlic

    Top it with

    Iceberg

    Tomato

    Sliced Onion

    Favorite Cheese

    Mayo

    Mustard

    Ketchup

    Thin sliced Pickle

  5. I season my ground sirloin with sea salt and black pepper then I make my patties......thick or thin........

For a propane grill turn it on low.......for a charcoal grill raise your grill way up......I put a small metal dish on the back of my grill with water in it.  This will provide moisture to your dry cooking method.........and turn out so so juicy.

I lay foil on the grill and put the patty's on it..close it..after 5 minutes flip them.......when both sides are cooked I take the foil off, leave the lid up and put the meat onto the grill to get the flame kissed taste...

Sides can be any of the following:

    Dill Pickles

    Jalapenos

    Roasted Green Chile

    Baby Spinach

    Romaine Lettuce

    Sliced Tomato's

    Cheese Slices

    Roquefort Cheese Crumbles

    Bacon

    Condiments:Mustard, Mayo, Ketchup, 1000 Island

    Side Dishe Ideas:

Red Potato Salad with cooked baby carrots sliced and steamed peas in a sour cream sauce......some grated cheddar cheese....red onion, sea salt and pepper.

A bag of shredded cabbage red or green.......a jar of Marzetti's cole slaw dressing......some pineapple either tidbits or crushed.

    Layered romaine lettuce salad.

Fruit salad with melon, strawberries, kiwi, grapes

    Assorted chips and dips

Sliced strawberry's in a tub of whipping cream.......serve on pound cake, angel food cake or short cake cups.

Home made ice cream.........if you don't have an ice cream maker use the coffee can method.

  6. Use lean ground beef and some seasoning, about 1/2 lb each. Angus meat is the best, shape them and place them on a very hot grill. Serve with coleslaw, potato salad or any green salad with tomato onions and shredded carrots seasoned with olive oil white vinegar salt and pepper any salad is nice, corn on the cob grilled directly on the fire is very nice too. Big pieces of eggplant are also good when thoroughly grilled.

  7. I just like a package of dry onion soup mix, an egg, and some dry Italian seasoned bread crumbs.  Sometimes I add a little A-1 Texas Mesquite marinade.  You can also marinade the burgers first.  I use 96/4 sirloin, so it has hardly any fat:)  ......  We like it with grilled red/green bell pepper or zucchini halves on the grill (olive oil, oregano & garlic salt) .....I serve a fruit salad with it... and either coleslaw or a green salad ... Since it's in a bun, I don't serve potatoes or any other carb/starch....
