  1. You pretty make take a piece of string and you dip it in REALLY hot wax a few times and the part of the wax that your holding will end up being the wick.

Takes practice to do it perfectly but it's really not hard.

  2. to the hard part yes and no depends on what your making....expencive it can get that way if you do alot of coustom work you have your molds and wax color and sents as well as the wicks....gel or wax??? you have to melt them both and pour into molds ir something ( gel i make to look like wine or beer or oother drinks so i use glasses for them ) you can buy a starter kit at like hobby lobby for around 20 and it will make like 5 to 7 candles

  3. Candle making is not really that hard, but you do have to be cautious (making candles involves high temperatures, flammable substances, and potentially harmful chemicals). The beginner should start with container candles (usually in tins or glass jars) as this will get you some experience working with waxes, wicks, dyes, and scents. Note that there are many different types of waxes (container, pillar, soy, gel) and scents (not all are all safe together). I would recommend that you look at some of the sites I provided links to, take a lesson, or buy an introduction book/video. There is a lot of good and bad information out there, please use caution.
