Basically you boil your ingredients and cool them.  Put them in a container, add yeast and wait.

Not safely unless you use a Mr. Beer or other kit like that.  If you try to just ferment something you will produce too much methanol, which could kill you.  Buy a Mr. Beer and you can safely make beer at home.  If you want to make wine then you can also find kits for making this.

I don't recommend drinking methanol (it's poison) - but I have had alcohol with methanol in it and it was quite potent.

Go to a beer and wine hobby shop and ask the folks there.  I have a kit, and enjoy making beer as a hobby.

If you are serious about it, don't get a Mr Beer or other "toy kit". Get a real setup. I suggest starting with Papazian's book The New Complete Joy of Home Brewing. That will tell you what you need. Then go to http://byo.com and click on Readers' Resources. That will give you links to the advertisers' catalogs. Order a real equipment kit and supplies to make a batch of whatever you want. (Start with an all-extract ale.)Then, follow Papazian's directions.
