I just got my hair done 3 days ago and I have avoided getting in the pool. I am now afraid of sitting in the sun like I have been because I don't want my hair to get bleached (i got my hair dyed a deep red) orange. Wat "home remedy" can i use to treat my hair before going out in the sun today?

  1. ties your hair up

  2. I don;t know for sure, but if you feel you really want to swim you can use a bathing cap.

Or put a ton of conditionr in and leave it there.

  3. that deep red will fade so badly in the sun, wearing a hat is the only hope! red fades faster then any other color anyways, and even one long day in the sun can ruin the new look!!!

  4. Coat your hair with a good and intensive conditioner for color treated hair.

This also works if you plan on going into the water as dry hair will soak up more water, but if your hair is already wet (and has a conditioner on it) it is less likely to soak up any harmfull chlorinated water.

Think of it like a sponge

  5. wear a cap

or buy a special shampoo for colored hair

  6. Before you go near the sun or swimming pool wet your hair and rub in conditioner comb through and do not rinse.  When you have finished for the day rinse off for perfectly conditioned and protected hair.
