  1. Depends on single voice coil or dual voice coil subs, and what ohm rating the coils are.  All a mono amp means is it is designed to power one channel (like a sub)  also depends on your ohm rating of the amp... is it a quarter, a half, one, or two (or more) stable.. the lower the better means it will push more speakers...

  2. if the amp is 2ohm stable and you got 4ohm speakers wire the pos. of one speaker to the neg. of the other ..

now you should have 1 pos. and 1 neg., run those wires to the bridged connections on the amp..

now your bridging the 4ohm stereo amp into a 2ohm mono amp, driving a 2ohm load..crank it up..

  3. george s got it wrong, the way he has it will give an 8 ohm load.

it depends on your subs and your amp

most amps can only handle a 2ohm load but better ones can handle lower, like 1ohm or less.

you have to find this out first, then you have to find out what your subs are.   and if they are dual voice coil subs.

for example,   if your subs are single 4ohm voice coils then if you wire them in parallel, you will end up with a 2ohm load which is safe for most amps.  like this

but if you have dual 4ohm voice coils and wire all 4 voice coils together then you will end up with a 1ohm load.  which (if your amp can handle it) give you the most power.  like this

so what you need to do is find out what your amp can handle then use these links to figure out what is best. good luck
