  1. All the A.M. hours are the same but once you get to 1 p.m. it becomes 13:00; 2 p.m. becomes 14:00 and so forth. 24:00 is midnight since there are 24 hours in a day.

  2. Military time expresses the time in hundreds of hours, so you do not usually see the colon in between the hour and minute.

It starts at 0000 at midnight and ends at 2300; the time count-up does not reset after 12noon to start at 1PM instead, it continues from 1200 to 1300 to 1400 and so on until 2300. Then it resets to 0000 (next day) after 2359.

The minutes in between the hours are added, where 8:15AM and 1:38PM becomes 0815 and 1338, respectively.

  3. well its just like regular time. if its 12:00 instead of 1:00 it would be 13:00 if its 2:00 it would be 15:00 over there!! get it

  4. 24:00 is midnight. The day starts at 00:00, 1 AM is 01:00. Noon is 12:00. After noon, instead of starting over at 1:00PM, the time goes to 13:00, with each hour adding to the previous time. So to find out times after noon (hours greater than 12) subtract 12 from the time. Minutes are the same.

So, as an example, 7:35 in the morning is 0735hrs/07:35; 7:35 in the evening is 19:35 (19-12=7).
