  1. its simple, just run on your toes, wich im sure your not doing, and the speed will increase by almost half the 50%

  2. To be a fast runner all you have to do is practice. Don't believe any of that rubbish about having nice shoes that make you fast or a lucky coin, etc. Just train and train and train. If you don't think that is going to work I suggest drinking an energy drink like gatorade before you run and you won't run out of energy as fast. Good Luck!

  3. The reason you get tired and slow down is because your leg muscles are too weak to support your weight when you run. You just need to get stronger. Try isometric calf raises and one leg 'negatives' where you stand on a chair and lower yourself to floor on one leg. These will also give you a lot of spring while running. In two weeks you will be a beast on the track.

  4. In one day, there isn't much you can do, but while you are running set a breathing pace. For example, breathe in for 3 steps and then breathe out for 3. This will help you not get out of breath and winded as quickly. It also helps a LOT if you run with good form. Have long strides and keep your arms pumping alongside you, not crossing in front of your chest, and don't have any short choppy motions of the arms or legs. This helps you go faster and more smoothly.

If you want to become a better runner for the future, I suggest you start training on your own. Run in your neighborhood on your own or with a friend, starting with a mile and working your way up. Run as often as you can, every day if possible, but at least three times a week.

Remember, always stay determined and never give up- even if you're in pain, keep on running. The outcome will be worth it!

Good luck in gym class- I hope this helps!
