cuz i heard etchi in mermaid melody and i'm not sure if it means pervert. and my friend, who's learning japanese said it wasn't etchi.. it was something else so i'm not sure. HELP!!! plz and ty!!!

Hentai literally means strange state.

Chikan is usually for molesters (like on trains)

the word "etchi " is including the meaning "pervert". But it doesn't mean so serious. sometimes people say ' you are etchi !' half in jest.

i read somewhere that ECCHI means to make love.

but in most animes i watch, they say HENTAI and it the sub, it says PERVERT.
