The rain forest is full or resources, you just need to know what to eat!  The plant life is so rich and diversity that there are usually many different species flowering and fruiting at all times of the year.  The invertebrate fauna is also very rich, diverse, and edible!  Although you must become familiar with the flora and fauna because many plants can be poisonous as well.
