  1. get a 2-liter drink and hold it above your head like your gonna chug it thats how your hands should be and when seting u just bend your elbows gently

  2. very carefully with the palm.

  3. OBSERVE YOUR ELDERS HOW THEY PLAY AND LEARN THE BASICS. AND ONCE WHEN YOU START BY YOURSELF YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN TRICKS.

MAKE A POINT TO PRACTISE EVERY DAY WITHOUT FAIL.

  4. no u do not hit it w/ ur palm, I've been doing v-ball for 2 years...you tense up ur fingers, and bend then slightly inward, bend your knees when the ball hits ur finger tips bounce up with a lot of force

  5. yeah what the first guy said because i just started volley ball.

  6. first you stand parallel to the net and you make sure you have your right foot foward so you dont set it over the net. Then you square up to your hitter... the ball is coming and you want to have your hands above your head ready to go in the shape of the ball... thumbs almost at your forehead. Then you use your first three fingers to set and when you finish you want your hands to be in a superman position like your flying but up.... not straight up  kinda angled.   well have fun playing   good luck!

  7. u need to practise

  8. That depends in which arm are you using.. are you left-handed or right-handed? Anyway you can't learn that from the internet! i play volleyball semi-profesionally for 15 years and i was never tought through the internet! tell someone who knows to show you! simple as that..

  9. Make your 2 thumbs and index fingers into a triangle.  Then push the ball into the air in that position.

  10. this is how I learned it:

-make a triangle with your fingers

-then spread your fingers out, with your thumb and pointer fingers still touching

-Then break the triangle in half, like 1 inch apart

-Shape your hands into a sort of bowl, like you are holding the ball

-Now place your hands a couple of inches above your forehead

-Your thumb and pointer fingers should be pointing towards your forehead

-when the ball comes to you, hop step so that you are under the ball

Sort of catch the ball in your hands, bring it in a little to your forehead, then push it back out till your arms are totally outstretched so that you look like superman

    -just remember skip hop, superman

There is a lot more to it, but this is a good beginning

  11. you have to stick your elbows out to the sides of the court and make a little triangle with your hand but don't curl you other fingers keep them by you other fingers and then when the ball comes bend your knees and push up with your legs but don't use your palms!

  12. practice tossing and aiming... if your toss isn't high enough, try to practice some more and you'll get the hang of it..also master the places where your team mates want the ball to be positioned when they spike..

  13. YOU CAN USE AN OVERHEAD VOLLEY OR THE FOREARM VOLLEY IT DOESN'T MATTER BUT MOST PLAYERS USE AN OVERHEAD VOLLEY. I'LL DESCRIBE THE OVERHEAD VOLLEY.  FIRST, DON'T LET THE BALL HIT YOUR PALMS. THE JUDGE WILL CALL A 'CARRY' PENALTY BECAUSE IT'S ALMOST LIKE CATCHING THE BALL AND TOSSING IT UP. YOU WANT MAKE A DIAMOND SHAPE WITH YOUR TWO INDEX FINGERS AND YOUR TWO THUMBS BUT THEY ARE NOT TOUCHING. LEAVE THE SPACE ENOUGH WHERE THE BALL WON'T PASS THROUGH AND HIT YOU IN THE FACE. SPREAD YOUR OTHER FINGERS ON BOTH HANDS AND SLIGHTLY HAVE YOUR PALMS FACING EACH OTHER WHILE KEEPING THE DIAMOND SHAPE CREATED BY THE INDEX FINGERS AND THUMBS. IN OTHER WORDS DON'T HAVE YOUR PALMS DIRECTLY FACING THE CEILING OR DIRECTLY FACING ONE ANOTHER. YOUR ARMS ARE SLIGHTLY BENT YOUR BODY POSITIONED DIRECTLY UNDER THE BALL. AS SOON AS THE BALL TOUCHES YOUR FINGER TIPS STRAIGHTEN YOUR ARMS WHILE AT THE SAME TIME PUSHING YOUR PALMS TOWARD THE CEILING. THE END OF THE MOVEMENT SHOULD HAVE YOUR ARMS STRAIGHT AND THE BACKS OF YOUR HANDS FACING EACH OTHER. YOU CAN PRACTICE THIS BY USING A WALL.

  14. to set a vollyball corectly u have to form a triangle with your pointer fingers and thumbs then pull your hands apart and hit the ball with your finger tips

  15. with your finger tips and your hands should be nearly to the edge of the ball so you are able toholdit in you hands and you should see atriamgle with your fingers and push up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. You put ur hands on ur hips and then dont move them as u slowly bring them up above ur head. use ur fingertips but cradle the ball. step with ur legs as u cradle the ball in ur hands but dont let it touch ur palm or u will be called for a carry (i know from experience :-) haha) use ur hands as directors NOT as the source of the push to get the ball somewhere, use ur legs for the power!!! ur legs are soooo much stronger than ur arms!!! well i hope that helps u and makes u a better setter!!

  17. You take your hands and curl them a little bit, like cat claws

Get under the ball and face the direction you want to hit the ball at and the player you want to set it to

Keep looking up at the ball, raise your curled hands over the front of your head and you're gonna swiftly extend your hands and make contact under the ball with your fingertips(that's why you have your hands curled)  when the ball comes down just about above your head.

I think also bend at the knees and then extend your legs when you extend your arms to hit the ball

NO PALMS WHEN SETTING A BALL!

  18. well first you have to keep practicing. but make sure your hands are always above your head when you catch the ball. Becuz if there not you could get called by a ref for lifting. Make sure you use your finger tips too. not your palms.
