  1. Sounds like you would be intruding!  And if you can intrude, can't someone be spying on your data?  Isn't this what encryption is for, and good wi-fi firmware should make the primary user (bill-payer!) see that someone is getting a free-ride!

  2. Use a Router.  If the signal is block, you need to know the key, if you don't, you can hack the router.  Just learn how to do it.  (Cisco)

  3. 1, go and ask for their permission

2, ask them for the settings

3, ask them to add your MAC to the allowed list on their router or access point.

  4. If you have their * permission * then you can ask them for their security details and simply connect to their wireless router.

If you don't have their permission, you would be illegally cracking in to their system

You could, however, ask their permission to crack in so that you can test their security, then you could suggest ways for them to improve their system.

  5. If the connection has no encryption on it then you can use it. If it does have an encryption on it then you need to know what it is to use it. I might add that you can get done for using someone else internet connection. It is classed as hacking I take it. (Even though you might not of hacked their encryption, your still using their connection).
