How do u shoot a layup in NBA 2k8?

I always win championships, but i still miss layups(with my point guards and injured players) can someone help?

You just go to the basket and press the shoot or layup button and the player you control will try to shoot or do a layup...lol

I have the same problem. It gets really annoying to miss wide open lay-ups on fastbreaks. The only thing you can do, is go to game sliders and raise the lay-up bar to 100. It helps a little, but I still miss a lot of them.
