  1. Your kidding right?

    Use a calculator.and yes it is 5000..

To show work move the decimal point over to the right side of the 2. You had to move it over 3 places

Add 3 zeros to the 10 ( this is because you had to move the decimal point over 3 places in .002 to get 2) So now that you moved the decimal over 3 places in the 10 (or 10.0) you now have 10000

So this will give 10000 divided by 2

    Which equals 5000

  2. a calculator

  3. Shift the decimal point 3 places to the right in both numbers

    10 / .002 = 10000 / 2.0 = 5000

  4. Multiply both 10 and 0.002 by 1,000

    to get 10,000 divided by 2 = 5,000

another way to see it is

10 divided by two thousands or

    10/ (2/1,000)

to divide by a fraction is the same as to multiply by its inverse

    so 10/ (2/1,000) = 10(1,000) / 2 = 5,000

  5. 10/x002

1.move  the decimal on both numbers 3 times to the right and you should have 10,000/2.

    2.Divide 2 into 10 and you should get 5

    3. bring down the rest of the zero's and your answer should be 5000

  6. 10/0.002 = 10 x 1000/2 = 10 x 500 = 5000

  7. it becomes 10000/2, which is 5000.

You always want to make sure that there is no decimal on the number you are dividing by, so you move the decimal to the left or right to eliminate the decimal altogether.  You then have to move the decimal on the first number the same amount of spaces in the same direction, then use long division.

  8. 1) First, put .002 into a fraction.

    .002 = 2/1000

    2) Dividing by a fraction, a / (b/c), always equals multiplying by that fractions reciprocal, a / (b/c) = a * (c/b). So, take 10 and multiply it by the fractions reciprocal.

    10 * 1000/2

    10,000/2

    ***5,000***

  9. Multiply everything by 1,000 so 0.002 becomes a whole number.

    10,000/2=5,000

  10. yup, 5000

  11. It's 5000

  12. 10/0.002=10000/2=5000.

  13. use a calculator. The answer is 5000.
