How do u stay on your platform on pointe?

  1. Definitely listen to the first person's advice about core strength and asking for help, but also it takes strength in your legs and feet, in addition to your ankles. Personally, when I point my foot harder, its easier for  me to balance in my shoes. When I'm lazy I leave it up to the shoe to do the work for me, but when I work my feet in the shoe, it actually makes it easier. :-p


  2. work on your core strength (abs and back).

    have good posture and hold your body in (hold your stomach in, make sure you're on/over your leg[depending on the exercise]).

    practice, practice, practice (make your ankles strong!)

    ask questions if you need to ask and take time to devolp technique.

    by platform i'm assuming you mean top of the shoe.
