How do u stop urself from losing your breath in a fight? when u get punched cause im sick of it hapening?

everytime i get ina fight thers atleat one time when i get punched in the stomach and loose my breayth and im geting sick of it so how can you stop this?

  1. learn to block punches to your mid-section with your elbows. build up your core strength by doing sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts, etc (go to crossfit.com for more on exercise). first you wanna try not to get hit but inevitably you will be hit sometimes and therefore you need to build the muscles on your body to be able to take a hit as well.


  2. Don't listen to the idiot telling you to let a friend to whack you with a baseball bat.

    Do lots of crunches and sit ups. When you can do them easily do them on an incline with your feet higher, then do this with a weight behind your head. Like Elmer Fudstein says, get a medicine ball and get a friend to "hit" you on the stomach with it while you do the crunches/sit ups.

  3. guard your stomach closer

    as far as I know, there isn't really any way to stop your breath from coming out.

  4. purchase a medicine ball and have a friend wack away on your belly.

    By "wack away", I don't mean anything voilent or over done.

  5. when you a throw a punch and get countered is when this is most likely to happen. when throwing a punch exhale hard through your nose. If you get hit while exhaling it's hard to get the wind knocked out of you. That's why you hear that hissing sound when professional fighters throw punches. Some think its the air escaping from the gloves but its the boxer him self. Or when you are taking a body punch do the same. Its your lung collapsing from being full of air and your body doesn't know what to do, if you are all ready exhaling this won't happen.

  6. You will always get the wind knocked out of you no matter what you do. Your abs simply cannot get strong enough to stop a hard punch. I would suggest getting your abs as strong as possible. Also me and my friends spend hours hitting each other in the stomach as hard as we can with a pipe or a baseball bat. Eventually you stop feeling the pain and losing your breath.
