  1. u gotta play ball as much as you can against people better than and work on you're weaknesses b4 tryouts start. also u should know what are the strengths and weaknesses of the JV players that are gonna make the team so u can try to stand out in a certain category (shooting.. dribbling etc.)

  2. coaches always notice people who hustle. fight for the rebound, chase loose balls, and work hard basically

  3. practise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or get lessons from michael jordon or kobe or lebron.:o)

  4. you know i had a dream of making it into the nba but before that i have to go through a million tryouts. you are probably on the 6th tryout =p. dont worry but get scared because you are now stepping into the world of taller people. one thing i can say on how to stand out is "bust your @ss."

my former coach told me that and i did and now i am preparing to get to my freshman team even though i did make it in middle school it doesnt even matter once you come to high school.

so my steps to basically make it in the team are:-

    1. fundamentals, every single thing you learned from dribbling to post moves or dunking- if you can.

    2. do your suicides faster than anybody - that is probably the most important thing you have to do if you don't do it you have 1% chance of making it.

    3. shot consistency- ever heard that michael jordan didnt make his freshman team because of his poor shot consistency. so put the ball in the basket 90% times you shoot especially in front of your coach.

    4. layups= 110% because if you miss a layup shame on you =p

    5. have fun- because don't panic when you get the ball in your hands. be a leader so that every one will follow you! coaches think that people with leadership are the top priority ones during tryouts.

    6. Finally- Be a good team mate and get along with your teammates and also with your coach and remember, "Your first impression is the best impression."

So, good luck and dont forget to bust your @ss ^_^

    ~peace~

  5. uh...sign up

  6. hey, um..if in the beginning you are shooting around go close to the coach. also, make sure that you are practicing as hard as you can. make yourself be noticed by showing good work ethic because that is what coaches look for. also, if you are a guard, show off your dribbling skills, if you are a forward or center show off down low moves. also, if you are shooting around try getting an open hoop and play one-on-one because then the coach can see you play offense AND defense.

    ~Work hard! and GOOD LUCK!~

  7. "LIKE THIS"

  8. exercise, excercise, excercise about a month or two before it starts do a lot of running/jogging so you wont get tired as easily  coaches dont like tired kids. also if you have any basketball hoops nearby practice a lot on three point and layups coaches always say they dont care where you make it but it will help a lot with three points. if you can make a lot of three points and not get tired then the coah should notice. and some of the kids he liked might not play or have worked that hard over the summer
