How do u swim fast but still save energy?

  1. When you swim, don't breathe like every 5 seconds. that way, you'll swim faster.


  2. Usually when you are in a race, you don't want to save any energy. You want to put it all into the race. If you are practicing and need to do sprints or something. Find out what a comfortable (but fast) pace is for you and stick with that. It doesn't need to be as fast as you can go, but it should be somewhere close, enough that you are getting a good workout.

  3. You can't really save a lot of energy. But take longer strokes and pace yourself. Get to where you have the same time every 6 laps.

  5. Breathe every 2 and stretch out your arms and legs and go smooth and relaxed but you should still push water back strongly but calmly with your hands and kick hard.
