  1. depends really how Rodgers does. Now that the weight of the Favre saga is off his shoulders, he can rest a little easier. Im guessing 8-8, but it could easily be 5-11 also.

  2. i think the packers will win around 8 games this year and just miss the playoffs in the nfc

  3. i personally have not seen Aaron Rodgers play.  I hear he was good in the Dallas game last season.  I predict that the Packers won't be as good this year as last year, since #4 is no longer there.  I do believe the record will be 8-8.  I just think that Favre has a magic about him, a greatness that you cannot find very often in this league.  He has a history of great throws to the endzone in the last seconds of the game, as he threw that great TD to Greg Jennings last year against some team (I think Denver) to win the game in OT.  Rodgers needs some experience under his belt.  He needs to get in there in training camp, get lots of reps in, and hope for the best.  My best wishes go out to him and his career with the Packers.

As for Favre, this could be his last season.  He wanted to come back, but maybe it was a tiny bit of just missing the NFL, the competition.  He's with the Jets now, and the Jets haven't been very good lately.  They are letting Chad Pennington go, because of Favre's trade to the team.  Chad wasn't that great, but perhaps, with this off-season free-agency deals that got the Jets some great guys on the O-line, like Alan Fanaca from the Steelers, that maybe Pennington, or whoever is under center, will be better protected.  Who knows?  I hope Chad goes to the Chiefs, which NFL.COM has said would be the best match.  He would be reunited with Herm Edwards again, his old coach with the Jets a few seasons ago.  I hope Brett has some good receivers to go to, and some good RB's to carry the ball.  Or it's going to be a long season in the big apple.  If he doesn't have a good season, he will retire, i think.

  4. they will still be pretty good. the playoffs depends on how well rodgers does of corse. they still have a great o line which provides a running game and time for aaron. their defense is really young, and showed a lot of promise last year.

and lets not forget they are in one of the easier divisions.

    10-6 i say

  5. I'm just hoping they give Aaron Rodgers a year or so to mature. He is going to be starting for the first time, so of course he is not going to be as good as Favre.

I do think that the reason GB traded him was that they are building for the future and he would just hold up the process for at least another year. It was only a matter of time before he retired again and the whole thing would start over. I think the managers of the team are ready to accept a difficult year for Rodgers in hopes of developing him for the future.

  6. I looked at there schedule and saw pretty tough teams they have to face. I also watched the Family Night Game and I wasn't impressed with Aaron Rodgers. I predict a tough year for the Packers. A 6 - 10 record. They will get better. In 09 I predict 8 - 8. If Aaron Rodgers can mature into a Team Captain I believe by 2010 they can be a 10 - 6 team.

But for this year I don't see anything better than 6 - 10.

Sorry...I use to be a big Packer Fan, but ever since they didn't welcome Brett back I just can't see them win a majority of the games. Not even half.

But like I said by 2010 they could be the team to beat in the NFC North, just not this year or next.

  7. I do not think the Packers are going to do good this year since Brett left. Seriously can Aaron Rodgers provide as much as Brett does?

They would've been a superbowl contender with Brett.

  8. Without Favre they definitley wont be as good. I think it is too soon 2 say tho, bcuz we havent seen what the new quarterback is like. After 5-6 games I think it will be clear how good they are, and how good they will be.
