  1. Well It Depends How Your Going To Trade. If You Want To Trade With A Friend Over Long Distances Then You Go To The Bottom Floor Of The Pokemon Center And Connect And Just Click Invite It Will Give You The Options Choose One And If You Friend Is On Then His Name Should Pop Up And Then You Just Wait For Him To Click On Your Name. If You Want To Trade With Random People Then You Go To The Big Building To The Left Of The Pokemon Center In Jubilife City Just Connect And Click Offer Choose You Pokemon And The Pokemon You Want Then The Minimum Level You Want And Viola. Also You Can Battle In The Lower Level Of The Pokemon Center Too.

  2. well on the GTS you connect and then put up a pokemon for trade and choose what you want in return or search for pokemon you want and if you have what the trainer is looking for you can choose to initiate the trade.

trading over wifi with individuals with friend codes works differently.  First you both exchange friend codes then you both connect and get online.  You will see each others name appear on a list of options that includes Invite, Disconnect and other people's names.  From there you can invite a trade, battle or voice chat and wait for the other person to apply or you can apply to someone else's invite by selecting their name from the list and pressing A.

When you get inside the trade a screen appears similar to the one for link trades you used the cable for in trading between GBA games.  You select your poke to trade they select their's and you confirm or deny.  It works the same as the GBA link cable trades worked for game boy advance once you get to that screen.  Also if voice chat is on you can talk over the microphone to toggle it on//off press Y at the first screen

It's pretty self explanitory once you both connect.

If you need any more info/details just lmk by editing your question and I'll edit my answer ;)
