How do viruses multiply ?

i have general herpes. and i was wondering how does the virus multiply.

what are general herpes? if you mean genital, the herpes cells divide themselves.

they invade a regular cell, then input their information in, so that the regular cell divided or produce new virus cell.

they take over your healthy cells and use their equipment (protiens and such)

once enough new viruses are made, the host (infiltrated) cell explodes, and out come the new viruses.
