How do water bongs work?

Question

can anyone give me really specific step by step answer?

how do you make it, how full is it supposed to be, where do you poke the hole, where do you put the weed, can you put it inside a small tube and put that in the whole and light it, ect.

There should be a slide in which you can put the "tobacco". There should be just enough water in the bong to immerse the bottom of the slide about an inch. Light the tobacco and inhale through the top of the bong. When the bong fills up with smoke take the slide out and suck the smoke out of the bong and inhale it. Enjoy!

a bong is when the smoke enters the chamber thats about half full of water the smoke forms bubles  when they surface the smoke is cooled and some what filtered if i were making a bong i would get a 2 liter bottle and poke a hole  at an angle thats just big enough to fit your down stem(tube) a bic pen would be easiest make sure one end of the downstem is under water(the deeper the better) then you need to make a bowl which you will need something that won't burn or melt tin foil is the easiest you just need to form a bowl the size of a quarter and then take a tube (has to be smaller than the tube your using as a downstem)and put the bowl on one end of the tube and form more tin foil around the tube and bowl to make it air tight (also wrap a rubber band around the bowls tube)then stick the bowl in the downstem put some weed in the bowl then fire it up P.S. It whould be a lot easier to just buy a bong from your local smoke shop
