I can choose to blow out cold air and i can choose to blow out hot air. how? i understand that when we blow on something were pushing the heat away from it thus cooling it off, but then we can choose to apply heat as well.

  1. you blow warm air by exhaling out of your lungs.

you blow cool air by exhaling before the air gets into your lungs.

Since you don't believe me, let me spell out the details for you: the key is whether the air has gone though the O2 / CO2 exchange in your lung. You can hold your breath and blow out cool air because basically the colder O2 remained in your mouth, sinuses, and even in parts of your lung, but it has not gone into your blood stream yet. The warm air, has high concentration CO2 that was taken out of your blood, and it was raised to body temperature while circulating in your body. So it will be warm. You can pump out extra CO2 any time you want by taking a deep breath, and so you can blow out "warm air" whenever you choose.

In any case, as soon as you breath air into you mouth or nose, it will start to get closer to your body temperature. Say if the outside temperature is 100 degrees and your body temperature is only 98 degrees, you will be blowing out "cooler" air no matter what.

  2. i wonder

  3. Actually if you blow on something you create friction, thus increasing the temperature of that on which you are blowing.
