I think as soon as the Russians get out of Georgia NATO should move in 5000 NATO troops and sign a NATO agreement with Georgia.  That way the Russians will know if they try it again they risk a major war with NATO.

NATO should also sign an agreement with Poland ASAP because the Russians will head there next.

The rest of the world seems to get along fine with Russia it seems like we have isues.  Now if Mr Mccain wins in November we better hope and pray he doesn't lose his cool like he can while he is on the Red phone with whomever replaced Mr Putin because are military is in no comparison to the Russians especially when we use a bomber that is ten or so years older than I am and i am 42.  Some of our Jet fighters were developed during the Vietnam war ( F-14, F-15)  Yes we have the new and up coming F-22 but to counter this the Russians have the SU-34 and the SU-27 and then there is the MIG-31 and the MIG-29. and then theres the MIG-35.  Basically if we have a war with Russia we are screwed.

Not when you take up bear baiting as a kind of sport. Neither will it help by putting missile bases up their azz or killing 2000 of their civilians. How dare they have the audacity to retalliate.

The west should first get rid of its own hypocrisy and double-standards and start leading the others by example. The US can't just embark on unilateral invasions (and self-justified "pre-emptive strikes") here and there, then criticize Russia when it starts doing exactly the same thing. For sure, you cannot expect others to trust you if your motives and actions are in contradiction with fair and honest judgment.
