How do we change from GIF to JPG in pic?

We had a virus and now the computer is back to it's original bare necessities.Like a new computer....we have to learn it again.

I want to upload a pic but it's in GIF...and cannot do it unless I made it a JPG. I forgot how...PLEASE tell me step by step how to do this. Thanks so much in advance.

  2. Here is the easy way to save photos as jpg/jpeg (same thing) files. Right click on the photo click "save picture as" check the box at the bottom is set to jpg and "save" and the file is automatically saved as jpg.

  3. there are many ways to do this..

    1. open the picture in mspaint

    then click file>save as>save as type (select JPEG from the drop down list)>then give the file name and click save

    2. open the folder in which you have the image.

    tools>folder options>view>uncheck the box of hide extensions of know file names..

    now open right click on the image>rename>replace gif with jpg and press enter.

    3. open the image in microsoft picture manager and click file>export

    to the right you get the choices ""click on the drop down list of Export with this file format"" in that select jpg

    and click export.
