  1. inertial mass is just mass.

    so, mass would be 0.5kg.

    Now, weight is mass in gravimetric units, which is not supposed to be used in metric units.

    So, stick with weight,

    w = mg

    Since g = 980cm/s^2 (I think) you could set that weight as the weight and work backwards to get mass. If this is what you want, your question is poorly worded.

    Some folks aren't convinced that inertial mass and gravitational mass are one and the same. To me, they are the same by definition, but these guys measured both ways, got consistant results:
