  1. Stars are often used as symbols for classification purposes. In particular, a set of one to five stars is employed to categorize hotels.

In some countries, there is an official body with standard criteria for classifying hotels, but in many others there is none.

    * (one star) -- low budget hotel

** (two stars) -- budget hotel

*** (three stars) -- middle class hotel

**** (four stars) -- first class hotel

***** (five stars) -- luxury hotel

  2. 5 star hotels are better and cost more money to stay at!

  3. they are differentiated on the basis of the amenities , the services they provide and the luxuries offered by them.

  4. BUY SEEING THE BILL.

BUT IF YOU WANT TO KNOW BEFORE TRYING IT OUT ASK THE MANAGER.

  5. Depends on what you're asking.

The stars represent a rating based on a rating agency.  The reality is, there are five star rated hotels that don't deserve the five star rating.  And there are lesser star hotels that deserve higher ratings.  The higher the star rating, the more amenities the hotel generally offers you (as well, the more it costs).  A two star hotel would likely provide you with a bed a TV and a room.  They might not even have a restaurant or a pool.  A five star hotel is likely to have a fitness room, a spa, a pool (probably more than one), a concierge and various other outside amenties.  The room will likely be plush, have a coffee maker, iron, ironing board, fridge (stocked with stuff), a safe and various other in room amenties.  The hotel will likely have room service.

Not all five star hotels offer all amenties.  It's best to visit the web site to determine if it has the things you want.  Five star hotels will always cost the most... especially in popular resort destinations.  So, you should determine the types of things that are important to your stay rather than looking at the stars.  That way, you will only pay for the things that you need.

  6. Star ratings are determined by AAA.  Diamond ratings are determined by Mobil.  Standards are set for each of the ratings and however a hotel, resort, or restaurant meets those standards is how they are rated.  It's just like a grade you would get in school by meeting designated criteria.

  7. Based on the Hotel Bill.

  8. In a 3 star hotel a pros will look like Mallika sherawat and will cost Rs 10000 a night where in a 5 star the pros will look like Aishwarya Rai and will cost Rs 50000 a night.

  9. The size of the bribe paid to the evaluator.

  10. By the facilities.Stars are given on the basis of the facilities a hotel offers.Hence a 5-star hotel will have more amenities than a 4-star one, so don't worry you can differentiate.
