How do we get my roomie's seat back on her bicycle?

She was trying to attach a child's seat on the back and then the entire seat came apart and we cannot figure out how it is supposed to go back together

whoops , does it look like we are bike mechanics ? generally take the seat back of , there is a couple of bolts under the seat which you will need to loosen to get back onto the hollow pipe where it came of , loisten the bolts to the required hieght , then put back on tighten the bolts at the right hieght , then read the instructions to the seat ,make sure the seat is tight , sometimes the seats plastic top come off , if this is what has happened go to the bike shop and buy a new seat.
