My husband and I are about $35,000-40,000 in debt and the bills are getting to be too much for us. I had to take off work because of a complication with my pregnancy so we are short one income. My question is does anyone know which debt consolidation company is the best? I really do not know much about companies like this. I do know that we do not want to take out a loan (we couldn't anyway) we just want to be able to make smaller payments until we get back on out feet. As it is right now we are fighting to keep everything turned on. Thank you.

Also, we do not own our house.

We live in his parents old house and they do not charge us rent. If that helps.

  1. Just about any but I know that Consumer Credit Counseling is a good one. You want to go for a non profit company. They are very easy to work with.

Good luck. I know it seems hard but if you are committed to this than it should be fine. the debt consolidation is the way to go.

  2. Debt consolidation would be rather the best way to get out of debts. But don't go for debt consolidation loan if your score is bad because you will end up getting higher interest rate and ultimately it will add to your debts.

But you can go for a debt management plan where a debt counselor would  negotiate with your creditors and try to lower your interest and after reduce the debts he would provide you with an affordable debt repayment plan based upon your amount of debt and income in which you have to pay only one single monthly payment each month.

Here is the source of a debt consolidation company which I know named http://ezconsolidation.com for your reference.

  3. get a divorce and marry a rich man

  4. Credit debt consolidation is a good option. If you have a credit union I would suggest checking with them to see if there is a company they work with, Many banks and credit unions pay the fee that you would have to pay. Besides that I would suggest contacting your creditors and asking them to help you out. Many company's are willing to lower rates and payments if you just give them a call, besides that what the debit consolidation Co. do.
