How do we get over the phase of only wanting what we can't have?

I only seem to want a guy if I can't have him. The moment I can have him I'm bored, and the moment he stops speaking to me I'm heartbroken. I genuinely am heartbroken everytime we havea fight, but when he's here,I feel a lot less bothered.

  1. Honestly, I don't think it ever goes away. I have the same problem, and I think it's just human nature. We always feel like the grass is greener on the other side...blah, blah, blah. If we cannot have it, we see all that is great about it. If it's ours, we can only see the things that annoy us about it. And this applies to everything, not just relationships.

  2. I think it's called empathy and selflessness that you are seeking.  A life of shallow games is empty and treating others the way we want to be treated (with respect, I mean) has so many rewards, namely a clear conscience.  Look beyond the immediate satisfaction that your actions provide and strive for something deeper.
