Question:

How do we give up 3 year old for adoption in FL?

My sister *Janie has recently been considering giving up her 3-year-old daughter *Lanie for adoption. This is a great idea for her as *Janie has emotional problems and we (*Janie's siblings) feel that *Lanie would be much better off being in a place where she is truly wanted and where people will have the patience to teach and care for a 3yo.

Noone else in our family (*Lanie's aunts/uncles) is mentally/financially able to care for this precious little girl who deserves so much more than she is getting.

Does anyone know who we would contact to get more information about this process? From what I've seen on DCF's website, they only offer adoption of kids who have been placed in foster care. The private adoption agencies I found seem to only deal with newborn babies. Thank you for all your help!
