What do you mean by "use 100%" of the brain?

The brain is a collections or organs, some with specialized functions, some with generalized functions. Most of the organs consist of neurons emmeshed in support cells. All the neurons are active all the time, not necessarily concerned with anything profound, but active nonetheless. The support cells enable the neurons to perform their functions, they are always active.

If you refer only to th "higher" conceptual functions, the brains is 100% active. Usually with mostly trivia but definitely active. With concentration and application it is possible focus on "more important" concepts at the reduction of trivia. This requires discipline that few people achieve to any great extent.

we can't actually say that we aren't using 100% of our brain, in fact all neurons are active to keep us alive and responsive. but the concept is, if we are using the mind in it's maximum potential, this, you can discover thru yourself. ^_^
