I'm a big tennis fan and a massive fan of Roger Federer.

I've just realised, there's the 4 grand slams and the masters...but aswell as that there's hundreds of other tournaments!

How is there so many in one year!?

And are we meant to keep up and knows the results or does no one really every know who wins the other tournaments?

You can't see them on TV, plus there's hundreds anyway so the only way would be the internet?

I just don't understand how there is SO many tournaments and whether we should keep up and find out the results or not bother.

I guess I'd just like to know how Federer is getting on.

Can anyone...shed some light on this?

  1. You may look on rogerfederer.com although. He is there with a schedule printed.  I love Roger too. He is amazing player. I wish he win for Wimbledon, so next year.

  2. Well rather than 100s, there's actually 69 tournaments on the ATP tour calendar this year... that's including the 4 Grand Slams,  9 Masters and end of year championships.

The majority of the top 100 ranked tennis players play about 20-30 tournaments a year, with Federer only playing 18, so it isn't necessary to try and keep up with all of them. However, it is still possible as each of these tournaments has a website, where you can follow the draws, whether your favourite player is in it or not.

If you want to keep up with what's happening, I recommend visiting the ATP website once a week to find out who's won the latest tournaments and what happens to the ranks. If you're really interested in the men's tour, then it isn't that hard :)
