This is such a cool and inspirational idea, thanks for shareing it. I'm going to send this link to all my buddies.   I just hope the big fuel companies don't buy up the rights for this one and sweep it under the carpet never to be seen again.   I think it's going to take someone very brave and altruistic to launch this but let's hope they DO launch it and don't succumb to a big pay off from some  faceless multinational oil company.

That was very interesting.  

I think the company would make a good start if they made golf carts and lawn mowers first.  Then all the bugs could be worked out and people would adapt to the idea of using compressed air for locomotion.

I have seen this video before and it sound real promising.I think both are great possiblities.I would like to see how each would do in a 4wd vehicle,as I live in Northern Michigan,U.S.A.!I don't know if you have seen the Hydrogen studies such as the one called, Water4Gas,but this too is another possiblity,and you can make it yourself,if your handy.You can read about it and how to do t from the Water4Gas site.The thing I like is the fact that all those other people say hydrogen is too dangerous,etc.etc.If they can come up with a way to burn it they way they do with this system,then hydrogen is very safe,because your only producing it when the car is running,i.e-electricity is turned on to the hydrogen producing unit.When it's done onboard in this manner,then that eliminates all the other cons of the storage problems and safty problems.Their Water4Gas system might not be the total answer,but I believe there is an answer using this type of system.I have to say!School girl,you should be the last person to criticise someone else.

The only thing that makes this greener than your adverage car is the fact that it is tiny.  You are burning coal to run a compressor instead of gas to run an engine.

There won't be a line to line up in... Of course there s a few problems with air powered cars, but even when they are ready, well the gas companies will do what they do best... Buy out the car and put the files and plans under the bed... So yeh maybe we will get them in 2009 (end of year i think, from France and Australia, look in youtube) but don't count on it.
