  1. I love vege cottage pie.  Boil up some potatoes and make them into mash.  While the potatoes are boiling fry up an onion and some garlic, then add quorn mince, then add onion gravy (I use the granules you just add boiling water to), then add sliced carrots and peas.  Bubble away for 10 mins.  Then, put in a dish, top with the mash and stick it in a preheated oven for half an hour (about a medium heat, 180ish). Then - eat!  It is he ultimate comfort food ang good for you too!

  2. Click on the link below. This seems a nice one without the "wish it was meat" soya or tvp.

  3. I would just make it exactly the same as a normal cottage pie, but instead of adding meat, just add soya mince, or even better quorn mince. That has the same shape and consistancy as meat (well, ish, it;s a good substitute anyway).

Alternately you can make one ewith vegetables. ?I would reccommend frying a an onion, cooking a carrot, a couple of florets of broccolli, 2 tablespoons of peas/sweetcorn, and a pepper, before adding the tinned tomatos, making the potato mixture, etc.

Basically, just make a normal cottage pie and add soya mince or vegetables instead of meat. Easy and delicious.

  4. Substitute minced meat with quorn mince.

  5. This is my fav...........serves 4

    1 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion , halved and sliced

    2 large carrots (500g/1lb 2oz in total)

    2 tbsp thyme chopped

    200ml red wine

    400g can chopped tomatoes

    2 vegetable stock cubes

    410g can green lentils

950g sweet potatoes , peeled and cut into chunks

    25g butter

85g vegetarian mature cheddar , grated

Heat the oil in a frying pan, then fry the onion until golden. Add the carrots and all but a sprinkling of thyme. Pour in the wine, 150ml water and the tomatoes, then sprinkle in the stock cubes and simmer for 10 mins. Tip in the can of lentils, including their juice, then cover and simmer for another 10 mins until the carrots still have a bit of bite and the lentils are pulpy.

Meanwhile, boil the sweet potatoes for 15 mins until tender, drain well, then mash with the butter and season to taste. Pile the lentil mixture into a pie dish, spoon the mash on top, then sprinkle over the cheese and remaining thyme. The pie can now be covered and chilled for 2 days, or frozen for up to a month.

Heat oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5. Cook for 20 mins if cooking straight away, or for 40 mins from chilled, until golden and hot all the way through. Serve with broccoli. yummy

  6. Use Quorn mince then follow a regular recipe.

  7. use either Quorn Mince (fungus based) or Dried Soya protein (bean based). with Say protein soak it in some hot water with a drop of mushroom ketchup or soy sauce to add flavour.

then add mushrooms onions and any other veg you like and fry/boil (your preference) till hot then cover with some mash, and place in hot oven till brown.

its pretty str8 forwards and there is o need to use a recipe just play it by experience and add what you like.
