Are you talking about saving a video which is on the internet, to your computer? Then you could try doing this:

>> Go to the site where your video is located. Start watching the video. Once, you get to the page from where you watch the video, copy the url of the webpage from the Address Bar above.

>> Then, go to  http://www.zamzar.com/.

>> There, click on 'url' in the first step.

>> Paste the url that you copied.

>> Select the format to change to as .mpg or .avi.

>> Give your email address.

>> After about 15-20 minutes you'll have your video ready for download, and they'll send the download link to your email address.
