How do we see the colour of an object?

I know that there are tissues which help us see the colors. I am asking that if an object is green in color then to see the object's color, our eyes absorb the green color and reflect other colors or our eyes absorb other colors and reflect the green color. This is a question of Physics.

  1. The green object absorbs the other colors so they don't have a chance to reach our eyes, and then reflect the green color which then reaches our eyes.
