How do we set-up DVR system when it is reseted?

I own a gas station and I took my laptop there. I did not know the pass to the wireless router which is a Netopia. So, i reseted the router so the pass will be NONE. It still did not work so I put the ethernet from the computer there to the laptop and that did not work, it said Limited Connectivity. So I tried this numerous times but it did not work. So i turned the router off and then turned it back on by re-connexting all wires but still no luck. Please anyone that knows how to solve this post an answer. I need to get the DVR back and running at hope and laptop. I think since I reseted it, it got all deleted. How do I set it up again?

Did you reset anything in the DVR?

IN the setup of the DVR, it should have a network information page.  Either that, or go to the network setup page.

Look at the IP address.  Two things, is it dynamically assigned or statically assigned?

If it is static, no biggie, set up your router with something in the same subnet.

If it's dynamic, make sure your router is set up accordingly.

It's probably just a matter of getting on the same network scheme on the two pieces of equipment.
