  1. Well, I will assume you mean visual art, in which case, our vision for starters. We use our perspective, in terms of how, say, the size of the piece relates to us. We use our hearing. We use our sens of touch (when the guard isn't looking), we use this much more when making a peice. We use our logic, reasoning and intuition.


  2. Humans are very visual creatures. Babies can read expressions as well as younger children. The brain starts to take in all of this visual stimuli and the associations with it and then predicts what will occur next. We learn that a color can also be a smell and a taste as well as a signal to danger or personal injury.
