How do website make money?

Other than advertising how do website make money? And does anybody have any idea how much website make for advertising a product? Do they give pay monthly, daily or one time fee, for a specfic amount of time? And how does one go about starting a website?

I not sure what was your question because the purpose for websites is for advertising to make money. I have joined a Software company and I sell marketing software, book etc.

I make alot money because I get 100% on all my sales. You Do pay monthly fee to keep the website up every month. I make 3,000- 20,000 a week selling my products.

Website can make money through affiliate accounts. Affiliate accounts entitle you to place a link to their website. If somebody  reaches their site through your link and purchase something , it will be tracked and you will be paid commission.

You need a product or service, and only you will know what you can make off of that.

As far as advertisements you can look at clickbank, shareasale,  commisionjunction, google adsense, yahoo search marketing. They are well detailed as far as the pay.
