A bridal store has a designer bring in the following seasons entire line for a limited time into the store.  There's almost always a representative from the company, sometimes you luck out and the actual designer shows up (which is AWESOME!).  It gives you, the consumer the opportunity to see every dress in the upcoming line, try them on, and order.  Stores usually will offer special pricing for that line during a trunk show.  If there is a designer whose dresses you absolutely love, then you definitely should check to see if there will be a trunk show in your area.  Stores can't have a copy of every dress in every designer's line in their store, so this is your opportunity to try on the dresses and see if you like them.  And this is the time to check, trunk shows are usually August/September and February/March with the spring shows always being bigger, at least in the bridal lines.
