How do women cyclists on long road races urinate?

I remember seeing pictures of the men's Tour De France, and when the men that have to urinate pull over to the side real quick and are able to urinate in the grass while still sitting on the bike with one foot on the ground.

So how do women cyclists urinate on long road races? They're drinking lots of water to stay hydrated, and I've always wondered what they do when they have to urinate.

  1. A friend of mine is into that sort of sporting endeavour.  She says you simply pee on the run, so to speak, whether they be runnng or cycling.  She did mention though that she really tries not to get in that situation though.

  2. I've heard from a male triathlete that you just go.  Males and females.  You don't stop and pull over on the side of the road, you just go.

  3. Well they dont show them on camera. They just squat and go.

  4. I imagine they would go in the bushes...that, or a port-a-potty.

  5. To tell you the truth, long road racing cyclists, as on the Olympics, just pee down there leg. If its a race, that is.

  6. Same way astronauts do.

  7. Hope for rain, and just do it.  Nobody will notice.
