Most people seem to value it highly, but many say academic performance is either not or only loosely related to it

  1. I make the very unscientific judgment based on their ability to carry on a conversation.  I make a judgment of intelligence on their ability to listen well, talk little and make on the mark, insightful comments or questions.  People who talk too much seem dim-witted to me.  People who seem close minded to different ideas also strike me as dim-witted.

  2. When someone says very little but instead uses their ears instead of their mouth and the little they do say is meaningful and deep. But that is only my personal view of intelligence.

  3. I assess a persons intelligence based on their ability to hold a conversation about current events, world history and their educated opinions on certain things.

  4. Dependence on your intelligence!

  5. It does not matter how many certificates you left school with but on your common sense, I have met many very intelligent people but with no common sense
